A panel discussion moderated by Paul Flynn, in partnership with Homobloc.
From Canal Street to The Castro, LGBTQI communities have shaped how we live since as far back as the 19th Century. Communities born out of marginalisation, culture and activism have defined our towns and cities, be it delineating entire districts or reinvigorating previously forgotten outskirts – the spirit of queer culture and the passion of queer politics has undoubtedly changed how we live.
This discussion seeks to explore the people, movements and historical moments that have firmly planted the rainbow flag into the ground today. Retracing our steps, but as some queer communities are still being pushed to the fringes of society, plotting a path for the future and what more needs to be done.
