For Homobloc, Manchester’s LGBTQ film club Make A Scene programme a special day of films celebrating QUEER HEDONISM.

MAKE A SCENE:
Make A Scene have made a name for themselves in Manchester as a big queer film party “for friends of Dorothy and their friends” bringing camp cinema, queer film and LGBT TV to the big screen. Make A Scene specialize in “way-too-interactive” immersive screenings of films that don’t normally get the live cinema treatment. Rather than Ghostbusters, Jurrasic Park and Star Wars they bring Death Becomes Her, John Waters and Ab Fab to life. As well as crazy film parties Make A Scene have hosted screenings of new LGBT documentaries and narrative features including 120 BPM and A Fantastic Woman and are a real queer film club bound together by online discussion, community, a weekly newsletter and upcoming podcast.
And now they’re coming to Cultureplex with the mission to get weirder and queerer! Join Make A Scene every month for a residency that swings from high art to bad taste, from the greatest queer films ever made to films so bad only gay men could love them.
Each screening will be hosted by Make A Scene’s own Gary Williams and each month will be different, sometimes you’ll be joined by a drag queen picking her fave film, sometimes you’ll be treated to a double feature or a TV series but every month you’re invited to grab a cocktail and enjoy a slightly too relaxed cinema experience with likeminded queerdos then head to the bar after for indepth discussion (and bitching).
This screening has no adverts or trailers and starts at the advertised time.
